Stanfield man arrested after deputies find stolen goods on property

ALBEMARLE, NC (WBTV)- A Stanfield man was arrested Friday and charged with possession of stolen goods.

Esco McDowd Bebber, 29, turned himself in to lawmen on Friday, according to a news release from the Stanly County Sheriff's Office.

On May 3 the Stanly County Sheriff's Office responded to 12897 Pless Mill Road, Stanfield, NC in reference to an investigation of possible stolen property. 

During the initial investigation it was discovered that several items of stolen property were found to be at the address.  It was determined that the property was reported stolen to the Waxhaw Police Department and were proceeds of a vehicle breaking & entering. 

Investigators from the Waxhaw Police Department responded to the scene and the joint investigation identified at least two potential suspects.  Upon completion of the investigation Detectives obtained sufficient information and evidence to obtain arrest warrants for the suspects.  T

he Waxhaw Police obtained an arrest warrant for Brian Allen Prince who was charged with Breaking & Entering a Motor Vehicle and Felony Larceny. 

Investigators with the Stanly County Sheriff's Office obtained arrest warrants for Brian Allen Prince and Esco Mcdowd Bebber (a.k.a.: Cody Bebber) who were both charged with Felonious Possession of Stolen Goods. 

Brian Allen Prince was located and arrested on May 17, 2012 by the Stanly County Sheriff's Office for the outstanding warrants. 

Prince was processed at the Stanly County Detention Center, issued a secured bond of $4,000.00 and an initial Stanly County court appearance is scheduled for June 4, 2012.
