Two killed in house fire in Stanly Co. | News

BADIN, NC (WBTV) - Investigators in Stanly County are looking into a fire that killed two elderly people on Friday.

According to fire officials, the fire broke out at a home on Smiley Road near the intersection of Barnhardt Road on Friday morning.

Officials say two elderly people were inside the home when the fire sparked.  Both were killed in the blaze.

WBTV is working to gather new information about the fire.
