Photo Gallery | Big weekend coming to NCTM; Thomas Play Date

SPENCER - The N.C. Transportation Museum will have two events Saturday, May 12, hosting an auto show for those who travel on two wheels and providing kids with some Thomas and Friends® themed activities.

On Saturday, May 12, the N.C. Transportation Museum will be hosting some midday fun for those fans of the PBS character, Thomas the Tank Engine®.  Thomas and Friends themed activities will be available for kids from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

While Thomas himself will not appear at the museum until September, events will include Thomas and Friends storytelling, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, Thomas play tables and more.  Children will also make a craft to take home.  Activities are available as part of your regular museum admission.

That will also be a good time to look ahead to the N.C. Transportation Museum’s “Day Out With Thomas®” event, September 21-23 and 28-30.  Tickets are already on sale, including a new offering for visitors.  All day passes are available with unlimited rides for just $30. There are a limited number of tickets and these have sold out quickly at other venues, so purchase early to avoid being left out.
